HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT TRENDS
Recent Changes to the Employment Laws
Human resource management experts constantly survey practices in the profession so that they can spot trends and share these with the world. Businesses which want to win the war for talent need to be aware of the trends and if possible be trend-setters. This makes them employers of choice and should increase the possibility of hiring and maintaining the best staff. However, a question arises. Are the trends spotted by the HR experts meaningful all over the world or do they only apply in certain countries or regions? To explore the answer to this question, I have picked up one of the many Internet articles on the topic, i.e. The Top 7 Trends in HR written by Nicholas A. Zeitler and published by SAP, the giant software firm on its online magazine at
www.news-sap.com/the-top-7-trends-in-hr/. It may be instructive to examine each of these top seven trends and determine whether they apply in Malaysia.
