SAFETY AND HEALTH COMMITTEES: Part One
Legislation does not often intervene in the internal management of organisations. Nevertheless, in the interests of protecting the safety and health of all employees, the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA) digs in deep into organisations. Amongst other requirements, the Act obliges every employer with more than 40 employees to establish an Occupational Safety and Health Committee.
